The story of one small life
In the center of my hometown, near the main attraction Golden gate, there is a small monument to a cute Persian cat. The history of this monument turned out to be very interesting and very tragic. So I decided to do something like a booklet, where I depicted the story of one small life.
This cat was called Panteleimol or Pnatyusha. He lived in a restaurant opposite which there is now a monument. According to rumors, he was picked up by the owners of the restaurant and has been living ever since. They say that Pantyusha was the center of attention of all visitors, the guests adored him and fed him in every way.
But unfortunately, there was a big fire in the restaurant. Pantyusha could not be saved.
The monument to the cat in Kyiv was erected on voluntary donations from the people of Kyiv, who decided to honor the memory of the animal that died in a fire in a restaurant. Today the cat monument is one of the most eccentric and popular monuments in Kyiv.
